Innovative business: the use of carbon fiber
The business goals should be the maximization of efficiency and productivity, with the least number of resources required. Robotics can be considered a valid solution to achieve these goals. Even in industrial automation systems, however, there can be different types, for example in recent years it has been understood how carbon fiber facilitates the achievement of these objectives more effectively since it allows to use much lighter components for robotics,to guarantee best performance. Components have specific characteristics such as high rigidity and low inertia.
For these reasons, a carbon fiber technology (created by BRT Industrial Service) was used in a packaging plant, which allows the development of pick-up grippers without the need to use molds, thus lowering investment and design cost.
Carbon fiber, thanks to its qualities, is used in different sectors and in different forms: it can often be found in glasses, it can be used in agriculture and it is now widespread in the production of cars and bicycles.
A further innovation is given by the use of carbon fiber as a heating element, used for example in electric underfloor heating systems, but also church heating system. In the industrial sector, the heating jackets for drums use the same technology, bringing savings and benefits to companies.
